Creek

Yesterday, my mum and sisters went to town for Zahlia (4) 's friend's party. Me, dad and Jorey (5) did a lot of stuff. We went for a bike ride down the road were we lived.

We live in the country next to a dry creek (it's only got water in it when it storms for days and days) so there is a lot of things to explore. There is a huge lemon tree over the fence off the road that had lots of lemons on it.
Jorey wanted to go down and pick some lemons.

So we put the bikes down and went to the lemon tree. Jorey made me and dad suck the lemons because he said it was "sweet" Then he wanted to explore up the creek. We walked for a while and found some cool stuff. For one thing there was a side creek in the creek: kinda hard to explain. Then the creek got deeper and deeper and got covered with big sticks and leaves and we had to walk along side it.

Then Jorey steeped on top of the sticks and leaves ad it collapsed beneath him! lucky he got out and didn't fall in. and then we could see though the holes that it was a tunnel. We kept walking along side it until we could see the end of it. It had come out near a place were it was so deep that there was a puddle left from the HUGE storm at the start of the year. And, amazingly there was a fish in it! Then we found another track leading up a really big hill.

At the top there was all kinds of cool rocks. from the top the hill we could see the road. Then we saw mum's car coming down the hill on the road. We yelled at her but she couldn't hear us. we went through the fence near the puddle. mum stopped when she saw our bikes on the road and then she heard us yelling. she drove back and gave us a lift to our bikes. Jorey w anted to stay in the car. so I rode Jorey's bike and dad rode mine. I was so tired when I got home. and now I'm really hungry after typing so long.
